The new code works fine for date-sorting. BUT: with the new code in the function.php the function “Image / Edit Image” shows no picture and the button “Crop” is not highlighted. Sounds strange, but:
I have a staging site /copy of my site. I used there the old and the new funktion.php – same result. Any idea?

I am using Nature One Pro fromearlier last year and want to update to the recent version as there are various deprecated jQuery sections in the version I am using. Is it safe to just upload the updated files or are other modifications required.
1. The header image is still not loading properly on mobile, it remains white for a long time, then a broken image icon appears and then it will show after about 5-6 seconds??
Ans: I think this is happening due to plugin conflicting.
Kindly check for conflicting plugins disable all of the plugins and see if it works.
If its working fine then some plugin is conflicting. Activate them one by one to find out which one is causing problems.
2. The page loads very slowly??
Ans: Kindly use compressjpeg.com or tinypng.com to reduce sizes and compress all your images and reupload them.
Lastly kindly use WP Fastest Cache plugin and ask hosting to have Zend Op Cache and PHP Server cache applied to your site or if they have NGINX available get them to use that.
With all the above steps i am sure your site will be faster. Theme is just part of the entire WordPress website ecosystem and our themes are coded to be faster.

The point of that block is to be attractive for readers/page visitors, but it is not intended to be the meta description. So, my questions are:
1. Is there a dedicated field where I can manually write ~150 characters for meta description?
2. If there is no dedicated field, could you please tell me a snippet of html/css/whatever code to put somewhere, so that I may have a dedicated place for meta description? I mean something like this:
<head> <meta name="description"
content="This is an example of a meta description.
This will often show up in search results."></head>
I have been looking around in the Theme Files, I think it could go somewhere in header.php, where I found this:
