    Hello Shri,

    I am not sure if I understand you right.

    Usually you create a child theme to safe your settings from being overwritten by a theme update. So this child theme corresponds with the mother theme. So if there is a theme update for any reason the mother theme will be updated while the settings remain on the child theme. How do you wnat to get the same effect by using the customs CSS? Very often this custome CSS will be overwritten by a theme update as well.

    Best
    Hans

    Hi Hans,

    No need to create a child theme. Kindly go to appearance>theme options>basic settings and use Custom CSS box for that purpose.

    Also we don’t have automated updates and rather send emails about updates which you can upgrade manually as mentioned in the other topic of yours.

    Regards,
    Shri

    Hi all, I am a happy user of the Gravida theme for my author website https://www.floriskleijne.com/. The only thing I don’t like about Gravida is the inconvenient way of changing the slides in the frontpage slider. Ten static items in the Customize screen, so if I want to enter a new 1st slide, and keep the order of the other slides, I must change nine other slides as well.

    I would love to have a dropdown for each of the ten slides, where I can select an existing page as the source for each slide. Or better still: a custom post type. The posts would contain title, body text, image, and link URL for each slide, and the slider would get that information from the post selected in the dropdown.

    I have already created the Gravida Slide CPT in my Gravida Child theme. I’ve been in touch with Shri several years back, who said that creating the possibility to select posts as slide source is a relatively simple customization. Can this still be developed for me?

    Hi Judy,

    Add the class in table shortcode so it should be: [su_table class="custom-table"]

    Then go to Appearance>>Theme Option>>Basic Setting>>Custom CSS Box

    Add this code there:

    .custom-table.su-table .su-even td:nth-child(1){background-color: #BA49E4 !important;}
    .custom-table.su-table .su-even td:nth-child(2){background-color: #489A21 !important;}
    .custom-table.su-table .su-even td:nth-child(3){background-color: #E10005 !important;}
    .custom-table.su-table .su-even td:nth-child(4){background-color: #0BAC88 !important;}
    .custom-table.su-table .su-even td:nth-child(5){background-color: #4E28FF !important;}

    Regards,
    Brad

    Hello I need to understand a mistake of this theme. I do not understand if it’s a problem of the browser or a problem of the code of the above subject structure. In reference to my previous tichet, where I explained to you that the browser of my client overlapped logo and menu, it happens that now do not overlap, but do not see the children items of the main menu. For example the menu item this event has two subordinate items that are not displayed on mouse over. According to you is a browser problem to update or theme code? The site is spherae.it. Thanks

    Hi Dave,
    I also have this same problem in the customizer. I”m running a child theme, using the Child Theme Configurator” plugin. Will deleting and reinstalling the Complete Pro themes as you suggested have any effect on the child theme?

    Hi there,

    I need to create a child theme, adding custom.css isn’t an option. Can you provide a template child theme for SKT-Clean? Or, if not, can you advise how I make my child theme use the Theme Options ?

    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi Shri,

    I really like the Perfect theme but I have a few questions:
    1. Is it possible to do a one-page theme with it? I mean what links to the sections I should provide to the menu so it would scroll down to my required section? I really need this feature right now cause the site is almost finished and I didn’t check that in the first place.
    2. Is it possible to take sections from one child theme and put to the other one? For example: If I would like to grab one section from Perfect Business (why choose us) and one from Perfect Medical (Welcome to Perfect Medical) and put both these sections to Perfect Theme.

    Thank you for your answers!

    Hi Franz,

    Kindly go to header.php and find this code:

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.1"/>

    And replace it with this code:

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"/>

    If you are using perfect and its child theme then change this code.

    Regards,
    Dave

    Thank you for answering. But I am still confused. Does using a child-theme break the parent theme? I would really like a clear answer.

    Also, if I can not use a child theme, then how do I safely edit core files? if I make changes to functions.php will they get overwritten during an update?

    Thank you

    Kris
