Next gen does not provide comparable gallery (in basic mode).

Can you please tell me where your gallery files reside? I want to at least try and make the gallery do a basic function like showing alt tags.

We can’t make the gallery pull smaller thumbnails and then href them to original image? Really?

I don’t understand how this plugin puts alt tags in the images. I installed plugin, activated, and looked over the settings. There is no setting to force alt tags, nor are alt tags present with plugin activated.

This would be a simple fix within your theme, to simply pass alt args into the function that calls images used by your gallery script.

The problem with the simple solution is this: Let’s say I resize images down to 350px wide for example… That will work to speed up the page load, but when a user clicks on those 350px wide gallery images, they only get a 350px wide lightbox image that comes up.

The ideal solution, for me, would be to modify the script in a child theme so that the gallery displays the medium thumbnails, but links to the original, larger image. If you could direct me to where the gallery script calls the images for home page display and I can change the img src to medium and the href link to the larger image.

Which theme files would I find that script in?

Thanks Shri. We’re using a parent theme, so I would be more comfortable having your team modify the js. Email was sent the contact you provided.
