Q. How did you come into your current field? Share a bit of the background?
A. I have always had a knack for computers. I love building stuff but not much programming. I thought programming is heavy with Math.
Anyway, WordPress has given me the chance to enjoy creating cool stuff without hardcore programming knowledge. Ironically, It also helped me enjoy writing code later, which is for me about coming with a solution for a problem using nothing other than a computer. How cool is that, right?
Q. What’s the most interesting project you have done to date in WordPress?
A. I have enjoyed so much working on training4pakistan.org project. This project give me the chance to drill down deep into WordPress greatest features including REST API feature.
Q. Have you ever been to any WordPress meetups or WordCamps? If yes did you learn anything useful?
A. Yes, luckily, I have been to many. I have enjoyed the HUMAN side of these gatherings. It is so empowering to meet people who share the same passion for WordPress as you.
Q. What does your workstation look like?
A. It is a Windows powerhouse. An HP Elitebook.
Q. What kind of tools/software do you currently use for your creations?
A. WordPress, Git, VS Code, PHPStorm, Google.
Q. What interesting feature do you think you would like to see in WordPress and is currently missing?
A. More. Stable. JS frameworks support for Block Editor
Q. Out of the current plugins and themes which one do you like the most and why?
A. WPOcean, Elementor. It is like the perfect combo, both of them are super easy customize without any surprises.
Q. Which WordPress hosting do you use and would you recommend for your clients and others?
A. DigitalOcean. Yes and yes.
Q. Do you like/love what you currently do in WordPress?
A. Yepsolutely.
Q. What would you like to do in the future in the current field or somewhere else?
A. I would love to keep building amazing stuff with WordPress and exploring what is possible with this platform.
Q. Can you give us some reference for whom we should conduct an interview next and why?
A. That person will definitely be Mobeen Abdullah, who is an active member of the WordPress community Pakistan, especially of the local community in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
