Yes, I saw these instructions from another post, but I’ve been unable to find such a file. Please advise where to find.

Thanks Dave, this now works. One final question: I can’t seem to customize the excerptlength for footer posts. I’m using excerptlength=”24″ for example, but I still only get a few words that show up.

Sorry, no dice. Still shows all categories in the footer position.

Thanks Brad, that worked. Folks might need a reminder too that after updating they will need to clear all browser cache in order to see the customizer work correctly.

I’m having a similar issue with the Strong Theme. I can select to hide the section but not remove it from the html completely. Also, the entire css for the site is loaded on every single page when viewing the source. I don’t see this happening on other WP sites.

Yes, I realized earlier today that the plugin was conflicting; however, deactivating the plugin is not the answer I was hoping for. The only thing the plugin was affecting was your template column shortcodes. Is there no way to rewrite some css to override this?

Thank you this worked. After further consideration, I’d just like to remove the slider altogether for mobile layout and the white block that appears underneath it.

Would you mind providing css for that?

Thanks Brad. That did work but it’s still not quite high enough. Any higher though and it bumps into the slider navs above it. Can I combine this with shrinking the height of the slider? If so, what would be the method?

Another issue I’ve discovered with the slider, is that on mobile layout the description box and button/link do not display.
