Transferring site to new design

We already have a web site, but I wanted to update it with a new design. I want to take the elements that are already on our site and update them to the new look (Spirited Pro). I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I don’t see the options for me to take the Spirited Pro design and put our images and info into it. For example, the boxes below the main header image. How do I select our photos and put in new text? And it won’t give me the option of our home page for the static page. It wants me to select one of our other random pages. I was hoping to be able to have a seamless transfer, and make the changes in the live preview and then activate, but do I have to activate the new design and then make changes?

Hi,

You can use theme test drive plugin and do changes while login as admin but users will continue to see the old site unless you activate the new theme.
