Do you have a child theme included in the pro themes? If NOT, what plugin do you recommend to work best with your easy customization? I can code…but using your customizer will save me a LOT of time.
i recovered all my settings last night. Also my child theme. In this process I found that actually I was the trigger for the problem with the medias. It was the functions.php file. As I recovered it, the media-display disappeared. After deleting this file, all medias there.
So, sorry for beeing so skeptical. This error was my mistake!
But I need this functions.php for disabling a function in my shop. So I habe to search for informations about working with a child theme. I don’t want to da any changes in the original, so you can update it, if it’s necessary.
I see, perhaps it was a problem with the child theme. But I don’t understand it. There were only css-edits. I think, the problem were the broken codes you found.
Where did you saved the backup of my css-file? I cannot find it. You surely made one.
Removed your child theme (which was a problem) and your modified theme (you also did some changes and some line codes were broken) and placed our theme and it works just fine.
thank you for working so fast ans solved the problem with editing the sites.
I installed 4.2.2 once more. Nothing changed.
The dashboard-notice is not the big problem. But the media-problem is still there. And it is only there with your theme. Test it, please. There are 3 themes at design to chose:
my child theme: no media
your natureone-theme: no media
the wp-standard-theme twenty fourteen: media there!!!
So it has to be a problem with your theme.
I tested my child-functions and css-edits. without them – still the problem there.
1 problem was solved. 2nd problem is related to your WordPress installation because we installed fresh 4.2.2 and tested the theme on 3-4 sites (i can give access too if you want) and we can see the media library clearly.
But on yours we can’t see it. Also we get capabilities error when in dashboard which has something to do with what you did with child theme creation etc.
I have set a child theme, and the photo gallery settings button doesn’t appear. It appears in the desktop of the pro theme, and I can create galleries but if I change to the child theme, the button of the desktop doesn’t appear but the gallery yes.
Unfortunately the Pro version uses shortcodes and saves its data separately in a different row of the same table as free. So unfortunately you have to again re-create child theme. You can do it faster as you know what modifications were done.
I just purchased the Pro version but had already created a site with a child theme of the free; now that I have the Pro is it possible to import everything I’ve done in that child theme in to the Pro?
Edit: Basically, I used the plugin Childify Me to create a child theme called Authentech 1.0, based upon SKT Black and have modified it extensively, but now I’ve purchased and installed SKT Black Pro and am wondering if I’m able to duplicate the child theme or otherwise get it to inherit templates from the Pro version rather than the Free version.
I’d like to change the language in the contact form fields and messages. I have been searching the theme files a lot but I did not find it, could you please tell me where the contact form is located (the one which is displayed at the bottom in the demo version)? I’d like to use a child theme for the override.
