Under Appearance -> Customize, if I set a Site Title (under Site Identity) and leave the ‘Display Header Text’ checkbox un-checked, the Site Title is still displayed in the header area. It shouldn’t be. Also, with the Site Title, the name of the website does NOT appear in the browser tab.
Kindly use WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin and go to its Settings and set up the title. It should show fine.
let me know if it still doesn’t show the title.
