Problem with homepage of Handyman theme

Hello,

we have already built a lot of beautiful websites using your templates. In these days we are working on the new website (http://janhumhal.prowebytest.cz/) based on your SKT-Handyman template but we have an issue with a homepage. We would like to achieve an appearance of the homepage shown on your demo page: https://sktthemesdemo.net/handyman/

If it is possible we would like to use the template without the SKT Builder plugin and edit the content by using the Gutenberg only. We proceeded as follows:
we installed the WordPress and we imported demo content found in file “demo-content” attached to the template file. We wanted to edit the content of the homepage basically by Gutenberg so we turned off the SKT Bulder plugin. The problem is that there are no shortcodes but only HTML code. It used to be no big deal because the old templates have always had the shortcodes included. Now there can be found only basic shortcodes in documentation of the template but they don´t look the same as the templates appearance.

Prefered solution
We would expect that there would be an option to edit home page using the Gutenberg only (after the import of the demo content). We would be really glad if there would be an option of clear HTML code or shortcodes to use instead of using SKT Builder.

Another possible solution
We would like to use SKT Builder just to build the homepage and for the rest of the pages we would like to use Gutenberg editor. So far it is impossible for us because the pages builded in Gutenberg editor cannot be sucessfully saved. The error is probably caused by combination of SKT Builder and Yoast SEO plugin. The Yoast SEO plugin is very important for our websites and we would like to keep using it. If we build the page by SKT Builder, there is no option to edit the page with Gutenberg later.
The solution for us would be to alow to build homepage with the SKT Builder an at the same time to alow to build the rest of the pages only by using the Gutenberg (with Yoast SEO plugin turned on). In this case you would have to fix the collision between SKT Builder plugin and Yoast SEO.

If you have any other ideas and solutions on mind to figure out our problem, we will be happy to hear about them. Thank you for your help.

this is not good message for us, besause we are makeing website for other users and they are not ready to use SKT builder. They are accustomed to the clasic editor or Gutenberg.

Ok, but

1. if you want to use SKT builder, I think, it should work properly with Yoast SEO plugin. Because it is actually most popular plugin for SEO.

2. Also i think, that subpages should work correctly with Gutenberg, because SKT builder is not ready for all customers content requirements.

So,

1. Your current (after start using SKT builder) SKT Themes are not abble to work with Guttenberg

2. With SKT builder is not possible to edit content of pages (created with builder). So I dont know how to edit websites :-))). Its crazy situation – Theme Handyman is completely out of using.

3. Our customer no want use SKT builder. They are ready only for Guttenberg. I am convinced that most WordPress users do not want to use the SKT builder. By deploying it, you will lose 90% of your potential customers and lose many existing ones.

We did 40 websites on your themes, but now are all of your currently downloaded themes not applicable. Including older themes.

When I want to edit page created in SKT builder, editor is always empty. So, SKT builder is completely wrong.

All this problems are the same with all tmemes with SKT builder on more websites which we want create with your themes.

Solution?

1. You should remove SKT builder – this is the best solution.

2. Repair SKT builder and make it usuable also with Yoast SEO plugin.

3. We will find other author of themes.

We understand your concern.

By the end of this year meaning by December we are planning to add 50 themes EACH of Gutenberg, Elementor and Visual Composer (WP Bakery). While our current themes work with SKT Page Builder we can currently help you with that at the moment.

We do have plans to launch all the above page builder friendly themes which should give All themes user value for money.

Now regarding your Yoast SEO it does work with it only the focus keyword does not show the output which happens even with Elementor and other page builders as well however all the meta does show up in the page or post created using the builder.

If you client has some specific requirement or block we can guide you on how to do it using SKT Builder if you choose to do it using that otherwise we can guide you with the gutenberg blocks which you can use and create a page which suits your client requirements.
