I am trying to remove the page list and add my own widget to the page sidebar and can not see this option within “appearance” “widgets” “page sidebar”.
I also tried to do this following “manage with live preview” link in widgets. However the edit “page side bar” and “blog side bar” are grey out and do not work
How can l remove this lists in the sidebars so l can create my own sidebar designs?

Hi David,

To remove sidebar there are 2 process.

1. You go to pages>edit any page and on right hand side under page attributes select template: Full Width and save.
2. Second way is to go to Appearance>Widgets and drag and drop a new widget in main sidebar to replace what is shown in default on the sidebar.

Ok l have got that but l have a website “page list” in the page side bar that l want to remove, but l do not see this in the Appearance>Widgets>pageside bar. How do l remove the “page list”?

If l got to edit>Perfect: sidebar-page.php

and remove the line

<?php wp_list_pages( array( ‘title_li’ => ” ) ); ?>

would this remove the page list?
