    Hello,
    My website is reverting to what I assume is the default mobile website when viewing on a mobile device. The BeFit desktop theme works and looks great on mobile. Is there a way I can stop the site from converting to the default mobile site when viewing from a mobile device? I have searched and some say to “comment out” the viewport code on the header.php file?

    Thanks for any help with this!

    Mike

    Hi Michael,

    From your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Appearance → Editor. When the editor screen loads, select Header (header.php) file from the list on the right, and remove the line including viewport tag from it:

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />

    You need to also remove theme-responsive.css

    Regards,
    Dave

    Hi Michael,

    Kindly go to function.php you will find the theme-responsive.css there.

    Hello,
    I was unable to find the theme-responsive.css in the functions.php file.

    But I noticed that in following the recommended steps that the website is no longer responsive when viewing on a desktop and reducing the screen size. If this is the response of making the recommended changes, I may not be explaining my request right. I DO want the responsiveness of the theme to stay on desktop AND mobile. But when viewing on a mobile phone I am currently not seeing my theme at all, unless I click on the “View Full Site” button. So what I am looking for is to have mobile users see the skt befit theme upon visiting my website on a mobile device, just as they would if they clicked “View full site”, but not have to through that step.

    I hope that explains it better. If that’s the understanding you had initially disregard that additional explanation.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Ah ha! I think I found the culprit. I had mobile theme enabled from my JetPack plugin. It seems to be working as desired now.

    Thanks!!!
