I bought the Toothy theme, however, now that I had the client look at the website – he was using Internet Explorer 8 – the website never came up. It appears that Toothy does not work in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
What can be done to get toothy to work in IE8?
Thanks,

ShriMay 9, 2014 at 10:04 am #917Hi James,
We did check in IE8 and on the first time it didn’t appear then on 2nd refresh it does appear fine with slider not working. Kindly confirm the same and then we can apply a hack for ie8 to double refresh.
May 9, 2014 at 2:41 pm #922I refreshed a number of different times, but it still did not appear.
What I get is the phone number, social media links and the request an appointment button and then those go away and the page is completely blank. This occurs even after multiple refreshes.
May 14, 2014 at 8:22 am #927Hi,
Are you using windows xp and ie8. Because we couldn’t replicate the problem.
May 15, 2014 at 5:30 am #930The problem exists on all of the following:
Windows XP and IE8
Windows Vista and IE8
Windows7 and IE8Would you like me to send you my screen shot of any of the above 3?
May 15, 2014 at 6:19 pm #933Will check by tomorrow and let you know what can be done.
May 21, 2014 at 5:17 am #981Hi,
We tested extensively on windows xp and ie8 browser and it appears that after a wait time of 1-2 seconds the site does appear completely. Initially it shows a blank screen and then it appears. It appears however fine on windows 7 ie8.
IE8 is largely used only by windows xp users and windows xp has been discontinued. So rather than fixing this for IE8 you should add a javascript like your browser is old and incompatible. Kindly upgrade to latest version of browser just like Facebook gives a message when using IE8.
