Is it possible to add a background color to home page slide titles and descriptions?
I can change the home page slides title and description text color, but it is hard to read on some of the images chosen for slides. If I were able to create a background just on the text floating on the picture, then I could make the text easier to read.
Is it also possible to modify the text to appear on either the right or left side of the slides? I imagine I would need to modify the CSS directly?
Thank you,

I have changed the first slides image – removed the Title and the Description.
I modified the button text to contain the following:
<b>CROSS Food Pantry</b><br />Read more
The button appears in the SKT Theme Customize “preview” in the Word Press Dashboard. It was published, but the button is not displaying at the published site URL.
I removed Title and Description text because only the button has a modifiable Background-Color style.

I noticed also that the slider is not working in production but in the dashboard the slider does change to slides 2 and 3 still in the SKT customize preview.

Making changes to slider “read more” button text caused slider to change format and disappear.

Kindly install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/smart-slider-3/
After that go to Appearance >> Customize >> Front Page >> Slider >> Slider Type and select Custom Slider from dropdown then paste Smart Slider shortcode in below box.
