Using links in top bar in Charity Pro Theme

Hello,
I have purchased the charity pro theme and I need to add a link in the top bar with an icon. I have the following format in the text area in the customize section.

<i class="fa fa-comments" aria-hidden="true"></i><a href="https://hopesanswer.com/chat-with-us/>Need Help? Chat Now!</a>

Maybe my format isn’t correct but, all I get is the highlighted text with the comments icon. The link is non-clickable and I am not sure why. Maybe this theme can’t do that and if that’s the case it will be a bummer. You can visit https://hopesanswer.org to see what I mean if needed. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks.

That doesn’t work. That’s what I have currently and the link in non clickable.
