Theme installation and upload problems

This sticky is being created because many times we have been getting the same error message from clients saying that they uploaded the theme but it says missing stylesheet or broken theme error.

Here is what you need to understand. When we deliver the final files to any client the zip includes WordPress theme files, database and xml data of the theme for sample content, uploads folder for images of the theme and plugins external if used. Along with this the zip includes documentation of the theme and how to use it.

Hence it is always necessary to first download the zip, extract it and check for the theme folder. And then only upload the theme folder either using ftp or via zipping the theme folder separately uploading it from WordPress admin section.

As said and we keep on saying with any difficulties faced with installation we have free installation of any of our themes that gets purchased.

Is there a fix to this yet, so that you don’t have to go through this to get the theme installed?

@Lisa: Currently all themes are getting major overhaul. It may take us well under 1 year to complete the process whereby all the themes would be coming in default with content and you just have to install a theme.

On my website, http://webuyorsellhouses.com/ on the home page you’ll see that the dots are to the far left of the page, is there anyway to fix that?

Also, when i try to change the main pictures on the Contact us and about us page, the image wil only duplicate. Is there a way to change that image without it duplicating?
