Theme front page as home page

Hi helpdesk,

how can I get the theme front page to function as a home page? Now as I create a new page and name it “home” it will have the appearance of a default page and appear in the navigation bar as it should. Clicking it takes you to the home page I created, but clicking the logo in the header takes you to the theme front page!

To put the dilemma in other words: how can I utilize them cool front page elements in my home page as each seem to have a separate tool box to edit the pages.

Hope this made any sense at all.
