static front page

I’m using the Befit theme from WordPress (I just sent in an order for the PRO version).
I’m trying to set a front static page, so I created the page I want as front and went to Customization > Static front page > I select the page but when I do this the default header slider and the home boxes (with their pictures and texts) appear as homepage over the static page I chose.
How do I eliminate that?

Kindly go to Setting>>Readings>>Select Static page.

I was probably making some trials. Now you should see what I’m talking about.
The problem is still there.
Also, how do I make the twitter widget work? I only see it in the menus but I can’t associate my twitter account to it.
In the PRO version I get also these problems:
– if I don’t put my featured image in the pages I always get the default “fitness” image.
– I set the “social” links to facebook etc. but instead of going directly to www.facebook.com/XXXXX (for ex.) they go to enricocipollini.com/www.facebook.com/XXXXX so they don’t work.
– how do I remove the contact form? it is displayed on every page on the right.

Hi Enrico,

We still do not find any boxes and slider. (Only a background image and Archives sidebar showing in body)

To change default featured image kindly go to Appereance>>Customize>>Header

Social media links in header and footer working properly.

To remove contact form from sidebar, go to Appereance>>Widgets>>Sidebar Main
drag and drop any blank text widget in sidebar main to remove contact form
