1. Footer image loading in copyright area only:
2. in the mobile phone view the background for pages is not black but purple, where can this be changed?

Kindly go to Appearance >> Customize >> Basic >> Scroll down to find Custom CSS and paste there:

#footer { background: rgba(0,0,0,0.8) !important;}
.footer_wrap.layer_wrapper { background-size:cover !important;}

@media screen and (max-width:767px) {
.header { background: #000000 !important;}
}
