Alt tag will not remain saved in theme. Here is an example.
It saves momentarily, but when you go back to check the image after saving the tag disappears. My website is https://celebrityscope.net

ShriAugust 7, 2016 at 11:20 pm #43000Hi, Shri!
All of the images that are featured on the homepage are missing alt tags which specify image dimensions. These alt tags were places in the alt tag area for each featured image that was uploaded, but somehow they seem to disappear after saved. For instance, the image dimensions on the homepage are: slider 1900×900, services, 76×51 latest news image sizes are 174×174 and 353×199, our world 236×111.
A complete image alt tag which also specifies dimensions would be
it also had the width and height attributes.
I checked first to see if this is a WordPress issue, but it is not. It has to be theme specific. I am working on another WordPress site and the particular theme I am using saves the alt tags and they do not erase. Please help. 🙁

Yes! That is exactly what is needed. If you can make it happen, that would be awesome.
