When I try to add text to footer w/ customizer, It will not let me type in the editor box and makes the footer blank.

And even thought I set menu header to transparent it won’t go transparent??
What should the transparency number be?

Kindly go to Appearance >> Customize >> Basic >> Scroll down to find Custom CSS and paste there:

.home.has_trans_header.page .header { background:rgba(71, 71, 71, 0.5) !important;}
