School theme: feature block show no preview text

in the play school theme i have the problem, that the feature block shows only … as text preview. Any idea why?

Kindly go to >> WordPress Admin Appearance >> Customize >> FRONT PAGE >> HOME FEATURED BLOCKS >> change there featured block excerpt length.
