I am trying to remove the blog column and the column next to it (2nd & 3rd column). How do I remove these two, I do not see any option anywhere in wordpress to do this.
Appearance>theme options>sections>open blog section area and you can select checkbox Hide this section to hide the sections you don’t want to show.

Shri
Not the sections, the actual columns in the footer at the bottom, where the secondary menu and contact section is. There is a 2nd column next to the secondary menu that has a post section that I would like to get rid of.
Also on a unrelated note, the sections that you were speaking of, the gallery, I noticed that when you click on a gallery photo to enlarge it in this homepage section it enlarges but it is grayed out.
Hi,
For default displayed widgets you can replace them with your actual widget or a blank text widget.
