    Hello

I have Coffee Shop SKT theme, and i dont have a sidebar on my WooCommerce Shop page.

I need it for filtering products, but it is not possible with WC Product filter or any other plugin because something seems to block the way for WooCommerce Shop page to have a sidebar.

You can see the page right here: https://bourbonbeans.dk/shop/

The filter plugin doesn’t work because it isnt integrated through a widget i guess.

    Hope you can help me

Btw. how do i find this topic again? It seems a bit wierd that there isn’t a page where i can see my topics?
Please send me an email to [email protected] of how i find this topic again, or with the answer.

    Kind regards

    Martin

    Hi,

Kindly go to Appearance>>Theme Options>>Basic Settings>>Custom CSS Box:

    Add this code there:

    .page-description {display: none !important;}

    Regards,
    Dave

Wow what a quick answer! Thank you, but it does not work.

Should that open a widget area which says “shop sidebar” or something?
    – Because nothing happens when i do that CSS – now it does not show anything at all.

    Kind regards

    Martin

i guess there is something fundamental ind the WooCommerce Shop page that needs to change, since it does not have the ability to change the page into “left sidebar”, “full width” and so on, like all the other pages.

The problem is, that i can’t take an image of it, because it is not there. Nothing simply happens.

I might have been a little brief in my explanation so i will try to explain it better:

Right now, as it is, the “Shop” page for WooCommerce, which displays all my products, dosen’t have a sidebar/widget area. Every other page on my website do have the sidebar widget area by default, i have tried to set it up as i want it to be in the “shop” page so you can see how i kind of want it to be in the “shop” page:
    https://bourbonbeans.dk/kaffesortiment/

In this page, a regular page that i created myself (which doesn’t come from the WooCommerce plugin),there is a sidebar in the left which makes it possible for me to put in the widget that allows the page to filter when people click a checkbox like 2kg. or 4kg.

But this plugin is ment for the “shop” page, which it (should) integrate with so that every product is shown on this page(as it is now on the “shop” page: https://bourbonbeans.dk/shop/), and then it makes it possible to filter between products with this plugin. The plugin with filtering creates this: [searchandfilter id=”produkt_filter”] which i put into a text widget, in the widget area “sidebar main” which is the sidebar for every page that i set to “default page” or “left sidebar”.

So my problem is, that something makes the WooCommerce “Shop” page unable to display a widget/sidebar because it is not possible to choose different page “templates” like “default page” or “left sidebar” so that a widget shows up on the page by itself unless i choose it not to be there.

    Hope you understand

    Kind regards
    Martin

I talked to the developer of the plugin, and the respond is:

    “Hi Martin

Apologies for the delay with our response. I had to consult one of our developers regarding this issue. After some investigation, we found that the issue could be because of the nivo slider installed with the theme you’re currently using. When we checked your site there’s a javascript error which stops the page from filtering the products. Since this is built within the theme, we were not able to fix this issue.

What I recommend is to ask support from the theme provider regarding this issue. This is a theme specific issue that doesn’t allow our plugin to load. It seems to be a bug since it’s because of the slider.

Hope that helps. Thank you for your patience.”

    How do i fix this?

    Kind regards

    Martin

    Hi,

We have fixed the NivoSlider script issue and found no errors in console as well. Kindly check and confirm.

    Dave
