Images on Latest Posts

Hi there,
The images on my blog posts are banners which look great on the blog page but in order for them to display correctly on the home page under Section 6, Latest Posts, it seems the images need to be much smaller. Is there a way for that section to pick up the image and resize it as needed instead of compressing the image?

I have this same issue/problem. Under Latest News and Latests Posts, the small images don’t appear. When you click on the actual post, then the images do appear. Help!

Thanks, but I do know how to set a featured image… it’s the second part I need help with – how to set the image to appear as a thumbnail on the homepage (in section 6).
