I am having some issues with a permalink. I have been asked by another provider to clear all my caching from my theme, plugins, server, CDN like CloudFlare or browser. I have done everything but the theme which is SKT Gardening. Is this possible and if so can you please provide instructions.January 13, 2020 at 11:24 am #143040

I have learned that I am attempting to use a testimonial plugin that is conflicting with the SKT Gardening testimonal section. Apparently the plugin and SKT Gardening use the same permalink structure in the URLs (/testimonials/) which create 404 page not found errors for anything that I create using the plugin. I really prefer to use the plugin. Do you have any relatively easy suggestions that would allow me to use this plugin?
I also received a zip file dated January 19, 2020 containing the most up to date version of the theme. I have not yet installed this because I wish to address the issue noted above and make sure that installing the update does not put me back to square one. Can you please comment. Thank you for the great work. I have the latest SKT Gardening upgrade zip file. Can you please verify that I can install this without having to redo what we just corrected and please provide an instruction link on how to install this update.

Unfortunately the old theme framework was creating issues with users for editing purpose hence we revamped the code with a new framework and use of page builder.
The homepage has to be redone unfortunately if you want to upgrade to new theme.
We can suggest you to take backup and use it in subdomain set up the site using new theme and then make it live when ready.

Just to be clear, I can create the new subdomain. Do you want that subdomain to have a new instance of WordPress and just the theme update (starting from scratch) or do you want the subdomain to be an exact duplicate of what we have now including the old version of the theme?
