Adventure Pro menu problem & header transparency

Hi,
If I make a new page with your given code for the menu, it adds empty space above the menu for some reason. See the images:

If I recreate it from your code from theme documentation:

Also, the header doesn’t seem to be transparent:

Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
