    It took me three hours, but it finally worked for whoever else might have the same question in the future. The format for shortcodes is:

    [social icon=”facebook” link=”http://www.facebook.com/yourpage”]

    [social icon=”google-plus” link=”https://plus.google.com/yourpage”]

    (I had to clear my cache a couple of times, because the links kept going back to my homepage at first. )

    I would appreciate your help. I cannot get the short codes for social media done properly. I checked the forum and it said go to Theme>Appearance>Theme Options, but that is not an option on the STK Business Pro that I have.

    I want a FB icon to link to my FB page and and a G+ to link to my Google account.

    Right now, the only code in the box is: [social icon=”http://facebook.com/MyPage” target=”facebook”]

    Obviously, it doesn’t work. I messed up trying to fix it. Right now, the only thing showing is “Follow Us” which leads write back to my page.

    I sent a letter to support, but I think they’re 12 hours ahead of us, so if anyone here can help I’d really appreciate it.

    Will you please tell me what to put in the box?

    Okay step by step instructions for photo gallery:
    1. First Go to WordPress admin panel and then Click on Photo Galleryhttp://sktthemesdemo.net/documentation/skt-white-doc/assets/img/portfolio.jpg

    And then Click on Add New.

    2. Once clicked on Add New Add the title and then just set up a featured image just like shown here: http://sktthemesdemo.net/documentation/skt-white-doc/assets/img/portfolio.jpg

    Once done select any category or add any category from the category area in this very page. And click on Update.

    3. To add another image again click add new and follow the first 2 steps as given above.

    So for every new image title and 1 featured image is to be added and it is to be selected into any category you wish.

    Now once this is set up.

    Use shortcodes of the gallery mentioned in Appearance>Theme Options>Shortcodes anywhere in any page:

    Shri

    No actually then we will have to write separate functions for that too there to allow shortcodes in the slider. Plus it will work or not there isn’t a guarantee. It may well break the slider.

    It is for SKT-White-Pro. I agree, HTML works, but not shortcodes. Any files to modify to have shortcodes working ?

    Hi,

    1. It seems you have the background somehow creating a problem for the child menu. Kindly send us email: [email protected] with your WordPress admin details via email and we will check this for you.
    2. Use shortcode [hr] for horizontal line.
    3. Okay will check that too.

    Regards,
    Shri

    I found.

    Edit supersized.css css file:
    position: fixed to  position: absolute (supersized and supersized li)

    ————–

    Edit the file header.php

    find the end of the wrapper div and add the following code:

    <div class = “clear”> </ div>
    <div id = “” style = “margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 80%;” class = “content-area”>
    <div id = “content” class = “site-content container”>
    <id hand = “main” class = “site-hand” role = “main”>
    Page to display the plugin Posts in page :

                  <? Php echo do_shortcode (“[[ic_add_posts ids = ’34 ‘]]”); ?>
    </ main>
    </ div>
    </ div>
    </ div>

    Hi Monica,

    A bit of coding might be needed.

    You can have thumbnails placed in 2 column shortcode or 4 column shortcode one after another and then link those images to direct download links (just an idea).

    Shri

    I understand but only for the carousel part we have been asking you to do this. For column shortcodes etc it works just fine. Wherever we have double quotes (i.e. links) it is creating trouble.

    Rest is fine. So all others will work fine except the link part and hence only for this carousel requested you to use html view.

    Shri

    When a particular section only has shortcode and nothing else i don’t understand why in the world someone would want to switch back and forth between visual and html.

    Again when you switch back and forth the double quotes like ” and changed to some other characters. Something out of our hand here and hence it doesn’t work.

    We can again do it one more time and make the links working for you if you send us email: [email protected] with admin access.

    Regards,
    Shri

    The whole point of shortcodes was to be able to add elements to your page without having to switch back and forth between visual and text modes.

    If this don’t work correctly then the developers need to get it updated to work like it was designed to do.

    I’ve never had this much trouble from a theme unless the theme was just completely dilapidated.

    Anytime I have ever used shortcodes was in visual mode.   Now while you can add it in text/html mode visual was suppose to keep you from having to switch back and forth between the two modes when making edits to your post or pages.
