    Hi,
    I need to add a somewhat large body of text on the homepage, between the menu and the homepage slider. Please advise how to make this adjustment.

    Can you add an image in imgur.com to explain how it will appear? Somewhat custom work will have to add an widget between menu and slider.

    Added a widget area Below Menu Widget for you, kindly go to Appearance >> Widgets >> Below Menu Widget.
