Remove Transparent Box on Homepage Slider?

How do I remove the grayish/black transparency block that is behind the words “We Will Build You An Outstanding House” on the home page? It is the block that overlaps the “Homepage Slider”

Also, I created a 1400 x 272 image for my “Inner Page Banner” but it is still getting cropped off?

Kindly go to Appearance>>Theme Option>>Basic Setting>>Custom CSS Box

Add this code there:

.nivo-caption{display:none !important;}
