    How can I edit the meta data for the home page?

    Also, How can I index the homepage of my site?

    Go to Settings>Readings>Check if the checkbox: Search Engines Discouraged is checked somehow.

    If not then download WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin and then activate the plugin and add meta title and other tags for home and other pages.

    Hi Shri,

    The homepage isn’t an actual page, so how can I go about adding a meta and title tag to it?

    Kindly use WordPress SEO by Yoast.

    There in SEO settings you can add title and description for homepage.

    So no need for a page.
