Max Media Upload Size

I’ve contacted my provider to increase the media max upload size to 25MB. They told me that I need to modify the .htaccess or php.ini files. They can’t do the modification although it is a shared server.

I’ve attempted to do so in my directories and the size is still limited to 8MB.

Can you help?
