Loosing footer and sidebar TEXT widgets

After I upgraded to WP 4.4 my site looses the TEXT widgets from the footers and sidebar. If I create them again after a few hours they are gone again (looks like something is deleting them). I was wondering if this is an issue with the theme? Does anyone else have the same problem?
