When I develop locally, then all images, icons etc. refer to localhost. Later, when I want to export to a hosted version of WordPress, will those links be replaced? How to do the export/import — will the standard WP process work?
Or do I have to change all links on the live site again????
Hi,
Kindly transfer database as well specifically within wp-options table you have all the theme options saved. So you can do the export and import of database and then replace localhost urls with the active url

Shri
Thanks but what do you mean by “replace localhost urls” — do I need to do so manually? Every single link on every single page?
Thx
Mario.
Nope on theme options only. Since you are a developer you can shift the whole zip of the wp-content and the database and replace the db urls like given here: https://wpbeaches.com/updating-wordpress-mysql-database-after-moving-to-a-new-url/
