    The recommend size for the header image (per the theme) is 1600×400.  However, when I try to upload an image of that size, the theme either tries to adjust the scaling, or the header image is incorrect.  I’ve tried to use smaller images, and they end up being tiled.

    Try 980px by 420px size for both slider and header. Should work fine.
