Featured image banner distorted on pages

I have purchased the Business Consulting theme and I am having issues with the featured image banner on pages being distorted on various resolutions.

Hi,

Kindly go to Appearance >> Customize >> Basic >> Scroll down to find Custom CSS and paste there:

.page_head, .post_head { height:280px;}
.page_head img, .post_head img { min-height:inherit; height:auto;}

I added the css but now the banner height reveals extra space below (see gray background).
