Delay with the Slider Image opening.

There seems to be a delay with the main page Slider Images opening,  I have a static page set that somehow opens first and displays for 5 to 10 seconds before showing the  Slider Images that I have set.

Okay.

It depends on the size of the images. Lesser the size lesser the delay.

Do you have a suggested size for the images?  I think my images a lot smaller then the originals that come with the theme.  I would be nice to have image recommendation size displayed in the template.

Size means not in terms of dimensions. Size means in kb. like 100kb etc.

What is a proper size for slider images then? So they load faster.

Hi,

Kindly go to compressjpeg.com or tinypng.com to reduce the size of the image and use cache plugin like W3Total Cache or WP Fastest Cache so that it opens faster.
