Complete Pro Main Page building

I have Complete Pro. The slider does not work. I am trying to add the flip boxes and cant/ I do not seem to know what I am doing. I have sat here for an hour and not one thing has changed. I should be changing this under Customize> Front Page. Am I correct? I see the Home section 4 for Flip Boxes but can not seem to active. Same thing with the slider. I tried CUSTOM SLIDER. Would not work. I tried to go to default, and that doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong to design my front page?

I have purchased the pro and once I installed it, the theme looks like the free version. I do not have anything installed. no boxes, no sliders, nothing???
