Always freezing on slide #9

Hello,
I am having a problem with Photo-Session where the background slider always stops/freezes at slide #9. If there are 9 or more, it always freezes at #9. Doesn’t matter what image is set to #9.
When there are 8 or less, slide show will go on forever.
Also, does not matter if it starts at a random number, or if the slides are in random order, whatever slide number 9 is assigned randomly, it will always freeze.

I also spun up a fresh WP install w/ the PhotoSession theme on different server, and had the exact same problem: froze at slide #9, worked w/ 8 or below slides.
