    I have solved this.
    The problem was that the theme menu wasn’t selected under Appearance -> Menu -> Menu Settings
    Once I selected Header Navigation in ‘Display Location’ then the sub menu background color came through.

    My web host has replied to me that they have opened the access to the subpage www.gerpla.is/prufa Can you have another go at it now?

    That is probably the web host’s fault. I’ll take that up with them and get back to you when it has been resolved

    The web host has some ip-regulations to deter irregular connections to the websites it hosts. Have you tried accessing it through another ip maybe?
