I paid for support now I need help. I need to be able to set my static homepage. This is how it looks when a static page is selected. As stated earlier the sections instantly disappear. Static pages should work with your theme by default, but you forced me to pay for something as if its a customization request. I have included a screenshot.

I think you don’t understand what I am saying. I actually wasn’t referring to any errors. What I am referring to is your slider shows up by default on the posts page when in the reading settings if the blog posts page it is set as a static page. I need to know how to remove the slider from the static posts page. The static page for the glo psost needs to be set to this linkBlog I have attached screenshots. Reader Settings/blog posts static page

When the static page is selected this is how the slider appears. As I mentioned before I do not want it to appear on the posts/blog page at all. The only way it does not appear is if a static page is not selected and that shouldn’t be. you guys forced me to pay for extra support to correct this so surely there is something you can do. I need to be able to set static pages for both the homepage and posts pages.

I’m confused. What am I supposed to be changing that will keep the slider on the homepage, but remove it from blog posts page? I have the inner page slider already set to hide and I tried the show option and no change. What am I supposed to be doing here? The CSS code you provided removed it from both pages completely. How can it be edited to target the blog posts page only?

    Hi, Chris!

That code didn’t do the trick. It actually removes the default slider from both the homepage and blog posts page.

    Hi!

I checked out the link for the child theme you created and it appears that all of the other templates are missing. This child theme seems to have only a functions file and style sheet. Is there any way I can get a child theme that is an exact replica of the parent theme? In other words, one that contains every file that is in The parent theme.

    Update:

    Hi, Guys!

I still didn’t receive additional replies on this thread, but I have found the perfect solution to create a child theme. Child themes are necessary if you wish to customize your theme and do not want to lose those customizations if the theme is updated. If you use WordPress there is a plugin called Child Theme Configurator that I highly recommend. Within the pro version, you have many more options, but the standard version is good too. Plus it is compatible with this theme and can be found here

    Hi!

Thanks so much for the code. It has everything looking great except my subscription box is now gone. I assume because the code is set to {display: none;} If I need to change the size of the mail chimp subscription form so that it fits the new footer style will do. Please assist me in adjusting the code so the subscription form remains and the new footer style stays. Thanks.footer section without editsfooter section with new edits

    Hi!

I created this support message nearly two months ago and I am still waiting for the child theme link. I followed the contact instructions but was instead met with these replies. The last reply I received was December 18th. Can someone please help me?

    Shri:

    Hi,

We do not recommend child themes.

What’s your order number for SKT White pro?

    Regards,
    Shri

    Me:

    Hi, Shri!

What is the reason you do not recommend child themes? I need one for SKT White pro. If someone is designing their website and needs to customize specific PHP files within the theme it prevents changes from being erased once the theme is updated. In my case, it is completely customized.
My Order #4060 was placed on June 1, 2015, and is currently Completed.

    Shri:

    That is a 2-year-old order.

Your site is heavily customized so I don’t recommend you to go for an upgrade.

    Me:

That is the reason I asked for a child theme because of the customizations. You still haven’t answered my question as to why you don’t recommend them. I have other websites and all the other themes I’m using have child themes… that were provided by the theme author. Well, I paid for this theme regardless of how long ago so if it is outdated version I would prefer to keep it up to date just like any themes I use. I don’t need you guys to upgrade it for me I can do that once you provide what is needed. Every other theme I have gives you the update option right inside of your WordPress admin, but in two years there has not been a single update of SKT White Pro. In having future updates if a child theme is active and the main theme is updated my changes will not be affected.

    Hi, Shri!

Yes! That is exactly what is needed. If you can make it happen, that would be awesome.

    Hi, Shri!

All of the images that are featured on the homepage are missing alt tags which specify image dimensions. These alt tags were places in the alt tag area for each featured image that was uploaded, but somehow they seem to disappear after saved. For instance, the image dimensions on the homepage are: slider 1900×900, services, 76×51 latest news image sizes are 174×174 and 353×199, our world 236×111.

A complete image alt tag which also specifies dimensions would be

Dalmatian puppy playing fetch it also had the width and height attributes.

I checked first to see if this is a WordPress issue, but it is not. It has to be theme specific. I am working on another WordPress site and the particular theme I am using saves the alt tags and they do not erase. Please help. 🙁

    Hi,

Thanks for your support Shri. I see the documentation however, my pro versions’ homepage still looks nothing like the pro demo site. I have responded to your message from my company email address and have provided all necessary info and followed the instructions given in the email and still no change. The demo site displays photos as does the free version in theme options there are none in the portfolio, in some cases the slider section, etc. I have cleared my browser’s cache also. If you do a side by side comparison you will most definitely notice the difference. http://celebrityscope.net
