I don’t see the point in posting a screenshot because the problems I have are within the code of the servicebox. The code I am trying to use is:
[service pattern=”boxpattern-2″ icon=”url of the icon here” title=”Verkoop van computers en laptops” go=”fa-hand-o-right” url=”external url here” target=”blank”]Wij verkopen zowel nieuwe als gereviseerde laptops. Overweegt u een nieuwe laptop aan te schaffen maar vindt u de investering in een nieuwe te hoog? Kijk dan eens in onze webshop naar een gereviseerde laptop. [/service]

Because it is an external url I want to use target=blank but that does not work. The external website won’t open in a new window. A screenshot won’t help because it isn’t about something I can show on the front end. My problem lies within the code I am using on a page in the backend. I copied the code for you as you see above. For privacy mathers I did not show the website or the link I use.
So my question is: can I add a target=blank code to the servicebox code or not? And when it is possible is the above way the correct way to do it or do I need another code?

That is not possible because I am building behind a construction wall. But the only thing I want to know is if I can put a target=blank into the code for the serviceboxes and if so how I can do that. I hope you can answer my question without seeing the site.

Ok thank you for being open to feed back and improvements to your themes. Looking forward to the update. If you need help with Dutch translations in your themes f.e. in loco translate I am willing to help. Just let me know.

For the English market probably it is not necessary to work with a child theme. But because some texts can not be translated into another language without doing so through a php template I have to use a child theme and copy f.e. the header.php to my childtheme. When I make my changes in the parent theme they are lost when updating the theme so therefor I have to use a child theme.

It would be very usefull when you make it possible to translate every text without diving into the php files. Is that a possibility? I hope so.
Because in the meantime I can’t do without a child theme and everyone who wants to build websites in another language than the Enlish language has to do that too.
So it is easy for you to say not to use a childtheme and on the other hand making that necessary because not everything is translatable through the theme options. And translations can’t be made through CSS.

The things I wasn’t able to translate through the theme options:

“read more” in the populair procedure section (functions.php)
“follow us” in the topbar (header.php)
    “search” in Search widget (searchform.php)
“Phone” in the 4th footer box (footer.php)

I tried to translate through the plugin loco translate but only back-end items could be translated there and not front-end items.

I hope you seriously will consider to make all the translations possible through the theme options in a next update. Or if that is not possible through loco translate, that would be fine by me too.

I have purchased your themes for 1 year and am considering to buy for lifetime but not being able to use a child theme is a serious problem for me and is keeping me from a lifetime purchase.

Yesss! It worked. I didn’t know that I had to remove it first. I thought it would overwrite it. But it worked now. Thank you very much for your help.

I tried adding this code to my child theme functions.php and I got an error and was locked out of my dashboard. So I deleted the code through ftp and now I am back in but this isn’t the resolution I’m afraid. Isn’t there another option other than change this through the functions.php? I hope there is.

All the other read more buttons I could change through the theme options only this one I can’t. Perhaps in an upgraded version you can make this possible? I think you will make a lot of people happy.

Thank you for your reply. Follow us I have translated through the header.php and Search through the searchform.php but Read more on the Populair section button I still could not translate.
The Youtube film you posted is about translating the whole website through qtranslate but that is not what I want. The website is in Dutch only and therefor I have to translate the buttons. All the other buttons I could translate except for the button in the Populair procedure box. Is there a php.file I can use for that? Or is there another option in the Theme options box settings?
    Thank you.

Yes I can. On the homepage in the Populair procedure box I can’t translate the text on the read more buttons. In the topbar I can’t find how to translate Folow us.
I managed to get a translation template in loco translate but in there I see mainly back end translations and not the front end translation options.
Also I can’t find in loco translate an option to translate search in de searchform. I know I can translate it by copying the searchform file to my childtheme and change it there so that is an option but I expected it also to be possible through loco translate.
And also I can’t find how to translate “Phone” in the footer contact section.
I hope you can help me with this issues.

Ok thank you for your quick reply. The problem is that in the download section I don’t see what theme version I download so therefor I can’t see if I have installed the latest version. So if I receive emails for each updated theme that is very fine with me. Is there a possibility that in the download section you see a theme version? So you can check if you have the latest version installed?

Thanks for your reply. Here is the link to the website. It is a temporary domain: http://groot12.123website.eu/wordpress/
I put in some css to hide the welcome area because I got some ugly borders there coming from the widget area. So what I need to know is how to put in a welcome text there using a page. When I set the site to a static page the sections on the homepage disapear. They only show when I set the site tot my lateste posts. But then I can’t use a page for the welcome section. Hope I explained it well.

Another thing I discovered is that in your manual it says that there are 11 homesections but I only see 4. Where are the other 7?

    Thanks in advance.
